Manifested Glory Ministries, Inc. was founded in 2000 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Senior Pastor is Dr. Derrick J. Smith, Sr. and Assistant Pastor is Joseph E. Sears. The church is located at 3572 Dick Street in the community of Avondale, just a few blocks from the Cincinnati Zoo on Vine Street.

We are a Non-Denominational church and our motto is:“MGM=My Growth Matters” .

The ministry believes that every member should have opportunities to fulfill his/her dreams and be all God desires them to be. MGM's focus is on winning unbelievers and impacting our community! People lives are transformed through Christian education and by the preaching of God's Word.

Derrick & Eloise Smith

Dr. Bishop Derrick J. Smith Sr., has been married to Lady First, Eloise J Smith for 31 wonderful years. From this holy union, God has blessed the couple with two sons, Derrick Jr. and DeAndre James.

Lady First Eloise, is a loving and nurturing Mother, not only to her own sons, but to the children and members of MGM. Eloise is passionate about the Helps Ministry and she loves assisting and caring for all of our members. Lady First, is the overseer of our church events and activities committee. It is her desire that everyone feel welcome, members have opportunities to get to know one-another and that we have fun.

Dr. Bishop Derrick J Smith Sr., is the only son of Vernita Smith and a graduate of the School of The Creative Performing Arts. Dr. Smith, has a Bachelor Degree of Science, (area of specialization Economics) from the University of Cincinnati; Masters of Religion (areas of specialization in Pastoral Leadership and Pastoral Counseling) from The Cincinnati Christian University Theological Biblical Seminary; Masters of Business Administration (area of specialization, Finance) from The Keller’s Graduate School of Management. And a Doctoral Degree in Theology and Doctoral Degree in Divinity; both from Christ Temple Bible College.

Dr. Smith, in addition to be the chief overseer of several churches, Dr. Smith is also the Senior Pastor of Manifested Glory Ministries, Inc. Dr. Smith, is also a business college professor and currently is working in financial management for one of the largest Regional banks’ in the Ohio area.

Dr. Derrick is currently involved in many community related causes, such as Injury Prevention Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Business Development, Entrepreneurship Training, Healthcare, Fair Housing, Education, Community Activism, eliminating Financial Illiteracy and holds several community board offices.

Dr. Smith's group formation philosophy is founded upon this statement, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them” (Zondervan, 2002).

Joe & Evelyn Sears

Joseph E. Sears (Pastor Joe): Associate Pastor of Manifested Glory Ministries. He has been involved in the ministry for nearly thirty years, including the Media Ministry, Couples Ministry, Christian Education, Men’s Ministry and Youth Ministry. Pastor Joe is a gifted teacher and has taught both new and seasoned Christians from Youth to Senior Adults. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM), majoring in Radio, Television and Film (Electronic Media) and has worked in various capacities in the media industry for over forty years.

Evelyn Sears (Sister Evelyn): Sister Sears has been involved in ministry for many years and holds a special place in her heart for girls and women. Her ministry includes Christian Education, teaching and mentoring primarily eleven to eighteen years old (11-18). She has also led the Women’s Ministry and Couples Ministry. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University. She has over twenty- five years of experience in the mental health system and is involved in various community organizations.

Pastor Joe and Sister Evelyn have been married for thirty nine years and have three adult children and four grand-children, and a host of “spiritual” sons and daughters that God has blessed them with.
